The Sooke Youth Council is a group of young people 13-21, facilitating new opportunities for youth to be leaders in grassroots community action and regional decision-making in Sooke.
Mission: Improving the perception and outlook of Sooke through youth engagement in positive progress.
Objectives: To initiate and organize a host of new events and initiatives, such as concerts and monthly film nights.

Congratulations to the Sooke Youth Council for winning the Group Volunteer Award at the United Way Youth Now Awards tonight! Your efforts for the Maysa Fundraiser have not gone unnoticed!
The Maysa Fundraiser, which included A Day in Sooke for Charity and Le Cirque du Danse raised over $2,700 for the Milligan family. Thank you, Sooke for making this a huge success!

Well, I know you all are excited for Emily's Dance, but our next movie night is on Friday, April 13th, 2012. We will be playing Hugo and selling pizza! The pizza starts at five pm and and movie starts at six pm! We hope to see you at the dance and at the movie!

The next movie titles are in! It's another double feature movie night! On February 15th, How to Train your Dragon and Crazy, Stupid, Love (PG-13) will be played in the EMCS. We will be serving popcorn! The doors open at 5:30pm, and the movies will start at six.

With weather permitting, there will be a meeting tomorrow (Wednesday, January 18th, 2012)! We will discuss our next movie night, and possibly a youth dance!

Hello Everyone,
The Sooke Youth Council is pleased to announce that we will be playing our first pre-release movie "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" on Wednewday the 23rd at 7:00pm at the EMCS theatre! We hope to see you there!
Also, our next movie night may be a double feature and have a Christmas theme! We might even be serving pizza!
