Other Initiatives

- Worked to beautify and conserve Sooke's natural environment through the community-wide Clean Sooke day in July 2009, June 2010

- Brought youth opinions and ideas to the forefront of community dialogue through drop-in info sessions and meetings with elected officials

- Founded an ongoing youth column in The Sooke News Mirror to spotlight youth events, issues and opinions. For examples, please see “media” under “Gallery”

- Hosted and assisted in components of major local events including Youth Week, Sooke Canada Day, Art4Youth (Sooke Fine Arts Show) and the Rotary Community Auction.
